Syrian Wednesday is a spring festival that is held before the arrival of Nowruz. On this day, people hold a ceremony to ward off evil and make their wishes come true.

This celebration has no dependence on people’s ethnicity and religion, and it is common among Iranians. According to ancient Iranians, there should not be any dirt left over from the previous year to deliver the new year. Therefore, it is possible for them to clean the dirt only by washing. It was not acceptable.
