SO has developed a standard that provides international requirements for certification and auditing organizations. ISO 17021 (Conformity Assessment – Requirements for Companies Providing Audit and Certification for Management Systems) not only increases confidence and trust in the activities of certification companies, but is also effective in improving work processes.
ISO 17021 specifies requirements for organizations providing audit and certification of management systems. This standard specifies general requirements for entities that perform audits and certifications in the fields of quality, environment and other types of management systems. Such institutions are called certifying institutions.
The purpose of complying with these requirements is to ensure that certifying bodies perform certification of the management system in a competent, coherent and impartial way, so that it is easy to identify such bodies and accept their certification on a national and international basis. This part of the Iran-ISO-IEC 17021 standard is used as a foundation to facilitate the identification of the management system certificate in connection with international trade.
